The band prides itself on its faithful sonic renditions of selections from the Pilots' unparalleled catalog, that resonate with casual and die-hard fans alike. Sometimes there’s a man that, well… he’s the man for his time and place. And that’s The Dan, in Dumb Love.
Cameron began playing bass in 1995 at the age of 14, around the same time he met Joe P, a high school classmate. The two quickly became friends and started The Electric Banana, their first of three bands together. Though distinct, his playing and writing style was unmistakably influenced by Rob DeLeo, and STP covers were a staple in the band’s live shows.
Cameron has played in several projects over the years and currently contributes multiple instruments and vocals to Plaid Nation Revival, a 90’s era acoustic trio from New York’s Hudson Valley. He is also a video game music aficionado and records VGM covers with drummer Cameron Chiles in Camicom.
Cameron plays G&L, Ibanez, and Hagstrom basses, through Ampeg and David Eden amplification.
Joe is a hard-hitting rock drummer whose influences include Gavin Harrison, Neil Peart, Ray Luzier, and Aquiles Priester, and who credits Muse, Rush, Dream Theater and Tool among his favorite bands. A native of New York City, Joe was exposed at an early age to a wide variety of musical genres – metal, fusion, prog rock, Top 40 – all of which have shaped his style.
Joe plays Pearl Masters Custom drums and Zildjian cymbals.
A Connecticut native, Joe has performed throughout southern New England with both original acts and cover bands for over 20 years. In 2016 he founded Studio 108, a project recording studio where he has engineered and produced several releases, and is also one-half of rock duo Beaut. Along with Stone Temple Pilots, Joe’s influences and favorite bands include The Decemberists, Incubus, Guster, Jimmy Eat World, Foo Fighters, Mark McAdam, and Joseph Arthur.
Joe plays Paul Reed Smith, Fender, and Danelectro guitars, through Line 6, QSC, and Peavey amplification.
